I have Buckeye Cable System and ESPN is not working. The game is being televised on ESPN2 also but it's only about 3/4 the screen with the other part of the screen filled with random commentators (Tebow and Manziel were just commentating, wtf) and a twitter feed.

Please tell me I'm not the only one having this problem...
You're the only one.

ESPN has changed college athletics, and I'm not sure it's for the better. They've created a "more is better" landscape, and I'm not sure that's good for the "future" of college sports. It will be interesting to see where college athletics are 25 years from now.

This was the first time I have ever seen a game showed on part of the screen and idiots running their mouths on the rest of the screen. I don't know whose idea that was, but it was TERRIBLE. I couldn't watch it at all. Thank god they had normal coverage on another channel.

Ummm, the actual game itself was on E$PN and full screen. On E$PN2 they had a couple announcers and CFB coaches (Pitt, Teaxas A&M, Boston College) talking about the game. On E$PNews they had journalists talking about the game. And they had a couple other streams online.

So if you wanted to watch the game like normal, just switch the channel, which you did. I, myself, enjoyed getting a coaches persepective by watching E$PN2. No on was forcing you to watch the feed on E$PN2. And from what I was reading on twitter and online, a lot of people really enjoyed the E$PN2 broadcast - so much so that they are replaying it later today.

Guess I don't remember saying someone was forcing me to watch the channel with everything happening except a focus on the field. Maybe you know something I don't. If you like it, that's great for you. Doesn't change my opinion that it was a terrible way to try to watch a game. I like to focus on the FIELD, not on people running their mouths.

All that was said was that a lot of people didn't think it was a "terrible" idea. Since you weren't forced to watch it and had another option to watch the "field," it's not quite clear why you're so upset?

I'm not upset at all. But you said that no one was forcing me to watch. I never said I was being forced. Gee, can't even give an opinion around here without someone making something of it.
