Umm, you conveniently neglected to mention that he was responding to the trash talk that you initiated, 10MAN. You know, I'm beginning to think that the number in your moniker must be alluding to your I.Q.

LSU's football team not only won on the football field last year, but they haven't had a single off-the-field incident in almost 3 years. LSU is winning w/ class, a distinction that is totally foreign to the mindset of Ole Miss fans, b/c (most) of you guys don't know anything about either(winning or class, that is).

P.S. - I disagree w/ the Tiger fan who said that LSU has had the #1 baseball dynasty of all-time. Of course, that would be USC. LSU would be second, though. It's kinda funny, though, that all you guys who jumped all over that assertion failed to acknowledge two points:(1) LSU is close enough to having the greatest dynasty that it's nothing to laugh at(like if, say, an Ole Miss had made that claim), and (2) you guys who have been knocking the LSU guy all root for teams that would give anything to have experienced 10% of the success in college baseball that LSU has experienced.

Some of you guys are so jealous of LSU that you will never acknowedge the obvious truth of our success. I'm glad that I was raised to give credit where it is due. If Ole Miss ever achieves anything worth talking about, I'll tip my hat to 'em. So I ask you, who are the arrogant jerks?

whoa, hold on there for a second. I merely brought up facts to back up a difference in what you said. You stated on this very board that LSU baseball was the greatest baseball dynasty ever. Now let me explain something. If you want to rephrase your statement to say the greatest baseball dynasty ever in SEC only and in terms of national championships, then I will agree with what you are saying, LSU has 5 NC's in that sport, more than any other SEC school, otherwise I stand by my statement. It was not an attempt to discredit or invalidate LSU and the accomplishments of the baseball program, it was in fact to discredit your stupid statement, which was accomplished, but then again it don't take much to do that, how about you take off your blinders for a moment and think before you post. Hell I even made a comment that I would say Pistol Pete before Shaq, but I guess he was before your time. That was not an attempt to discredit LSU either. One of the greatest basketball players ever on the college hardwood and played all four years for what can only be best described as bad teams. To this day he has records that still stand on the national record books, without looking, I doubt Shaq does. Shaq was a good player but I can name quite a few more that I would associate with LSU first. Bob Pettit and Pete Maravich to name two.

MSU had good baseball teams in the SEC long before SEC baseball was cool. I'll give you that, for sure.

All in all, I'd rather have the 5 NC's from 1991, though. And, the question was about teams having a dynasty. That doesn't mean that a school has been good from the get-go. Look at the Celtics; they had the greatest dynasty in the history of the NBA, but they haven't done much lately.

MSU has almost always had a good baseball program. But, you have to win championships in order to qualify as a dynasty.
