I have been so impressed with the men's basketball team's 7-0 start this season! They have so much talent, athleticism, and depth this year. This is going to be a special season!
I noticed that they have not put up a banner for last season's West Division championship and I was wondering why. I know that the MAC didn't recognize Toledo's division championship, but couldn't UT still put up a banner? Maybe the MAC would not allow it. Does anyone have any insight into this?
I could be wrong, but I believe the team got west division rings
I thought that TK said they would be putting a banner up, but I noticed the other night it wasn't up. (However, I don't really think West Division championships are worthy of a banner. Or maybe have 1 banner for division championships, and list the years on it).

The team did get rings. Don't know why the banner isn't up, but they may be starting to consolidate them as they run out of room.
I am so excited about basketball season...it's going to be fun. I'm not setting any expectations as a fan, just want to see fun basketball and as many wins as possible. My feelings are they are going to be a very good team with few losses but I'll be happy even if they don't finish as West champs, MAC champs, etc. I think we should all just enjoy this season and being able to see Pearson and Weatherspoon, etc. on the court together. It's remarkable what Coach K has done in just a few short years.
And yes, they handed out those rings at one of the football games this year but I can't remember which one.
I hope they do have a ceremony and hoist the MAC West Championship banner. The players fought though lots of stuff and won. Also nice to put a finger in the eye of the MAC rules-on-the-fly makers
