Not since Spencer Haywood blindsided the ref back in 69 have I seen a UD player with more of an attitude. I'm surprised Ray McCallum puts up with that garbage.
He was pretty "me" "me" "look at me," when he was scorching us for 23 up at Detroit. Glad he had a chance to make it interesting and failed at the end of that game.

Really glad Pierson shut him up and then piled on with his own 30 pt night. Maybe he'll learn to not tug on superman's cape.
I remembered someone saying he had a bad attitude the first time we played. And I could definitely see it last night.
He must have had all the attitude at the north end of the court. He seemed frustrated but I didn't catch anything to indicate he wasn't a team player. What did I miss? I did
note the aforementioned Mr. Pearson still doing his eye rolling, head shaking thing when he doesn't get the ball when he wants it.
It was way way worse in Detroit. But I did enjoy seeing him throw the clipboard last night, if anyone saw that

Wonder if his atitude and Bruinssma's were related. Bruinsma studiously avoided walking off the floor with his teammates.
Pearson had the hot hand last night, maybe we should have gotten it to him more? In his defence, I've never felt Rian is a "me" guy or tries to show up opponents with bravado. He plays hard every night.
I did see the clip board thing. Not good for team chem. Pearson also was chasstizing himself for missing some teammates who were open heading in to the basket.

might be a big reason why Howard transferred there from WMU
Howard was the one that threw a clipboard not Pearson

The specific instance was when he had 29 and got out in front on a break. No way Lauf should have tried a pass but I think Pearson really wanted thirty. That sort of thing happened some last year as well. Can't fault him much though. He is definitely not a ball hog and is a team player. I think he gets frustrated when others miss things he sees or can't do things he can. Just a competitor, but I wonder how it affects a freshman to see that.

I doubt it bothered Lauf he seems pretty unflappable on the court

And when you say " On the court" you mean ON the court. Once again he was prone about as much as he was upright. The man is fun to watch.
