Catching up with Jerod Haase: The UAB head coach reflects on the Charleston Classic
http://www.al.com/sports/index.ssf/2013/...ase_t.html
Didnt see our beat writer in Charleston,,,, Guess he was too busy counting the turnstiles at Legion Field Thurs night and working up his exploitation piece that appeared in the paper about said topic. I think we should ban his IP from here so he has to do more of his own UAB sports research.
I'm sure he was forced to write an attendance article by his boss.
I'm almost POSITIVE he was told to write that by Izzy with Soloman in Izzy's ear. ;-) That was so unlike Drew it stood out.

You clearly have no idea who Drew is or what position he's in.
Are you saying that having the lowest attendance in program history is Not Newsworthy. No matter who decided on the article, it is something to write about. I suspect it won't be the lowest after Saturday.

Is there any other factor that could work against us for Saturday.

1. 2 win team vs 0 win team.
2. Cold temperatures
3. Students out for Thanksgiving
4. Alabama-Auburn game the biggest game in its recent history.

Maybe I'd they announced they were releasing armed snipers throughout the stadium, we would have a lower turnout Saturday.
Regarding the article, notice where the team is having Thanksgiving. Blows the theory that they moved tomorrow's game time so the team could go home for thanksgiving out of the water.

That still irks me.

I figured it was so FAMU could get back home and have some time for Thanksgiving ...
So I have to change my holiday plans so some crappy MEAC team can have Thanksgiving?
it's called being a gracious host

Yes. These are college aged kids, and they deserve to be able to spend time with their families on a holiday. You are a grown man, act like it.

I am pretty sure I was being sarcastic. Blue font is for dense people.
A lot of folks here need to get over themselves. We're on a damn forum. If you haven't grasped that MB's post are riddled with sarcasm than I'm not sure your IQ is higher than our current win total.

I thoroughly enjoy Memphis Blazers sarcasm, even when he picks on me.

Well, I can smell a rat in that paper shell of a paper and I think we ought to figure out a way to give him some cheese that will give him an upset stomach or worse.

I didn't see that coming
Which will be lower, our attendance Saturday, or the remaining subcribership to the Birmingham News?

If it takes a couple attendance pieces to get the amount of coverage Drew gives for what he gets at AL.com, I'll take it all day long. UAB opened it up by having a press release about attendance first, by the way.

Blazer fans...it's time to just suck it up and stop whining about everything. Our attendance sucks...and when our own AD puts out a release about moving people to visitors stands to make our terrible attendance look slightly less terrible, we were asking for it.
