Moving the November 27 game against Fla A&M to 1pm instead of 7pm.
Most people work that day and I won't get in town in time to go to the game.
What are they thinking.
I just saw that. I was planning on going after work. Probably going to have to give away my ticket now.
Maybe it's actually more for the players than fans.
I think it is going to kill what little attendance there would have been anyway.
Do the coaches have a 6 p.m. flight to Mom's house ?
That's bizarre. Fortunately, my shop is around the corner so I'll put a sign up and walk over.
Clearly, they don't want to accommodate fans. This is inexcusable, especially for those of us making holiday travels.
oops. Well, I'll make it but my out of town guests may not get here in time now to see it.
It's excusable. If they are doing this to accommodate players so they can take part in family holiday traditions. Moves like that are good for morale.
I was thinking about taking off for this game but now I can go & maybe just be late into work instead
Wow, a 1pm weekday game. The tickets are still good for a BOGO Full Moon sandwich even if I dont use the tickets right?
The change actually helps me. I was having to skip it due to leaving out of town on Wednesday evening. Now I can catch the game, then travel! Excellent!
Let's face it, the day before thanksgiving wasn't going to be a great crowd regardless. The change will give the players some time to take part in thanksgiving w/ their family and rest up more for the big UNC game that following Sunday. If the extra rest helps us beat UNC then I don't care if they play FAMU at 3am.
I would be more likely to make the game at 1 pm over 7 pm.

Why yes, I have. Before I even posted on this board, I sent a message to a member of the AD voicing my displeasure at the decision.
You could also view this as a nice gesture to our opponent.. allowing them to actually get home before Thanksgiving day. Fla A&M players have family too.

Well, I let them know via an email. I haven't heard back.
I can't change my flight plans, because there's only one flight from Kansas City into Birmingham each day.
Kind of helps me out a little bit also. That means I can get down possibly get down to Montgomery on Wednesday to set up our tailgate instead of Thursday morning and get a lousy spot because all of the good one were taken the day before.
