Operating under the speculative assumption that we beat Houston (still a big task and not a given), who has to lose this weekend for us to be ranked in the bcs teens?

In order to pass Louisville, I think we just have to win out, naturally.

Now, those ranked ahead of us in the 19-11 range are as follows:
  • UCLA
  • NIU
  • Michigan State
  • Fresno State
  • aTm
  • OklaState
  • LSU
  • USCe
  • Miami

UCLA is going to lose at least one of their next 4, with games against 6-2 Arizona, Washington, ASU, and USC. Chalk this up to 1-2 losses (drops from rankings)

NIU still has to beat Ball State, and win the MAC CCG... a pretty easy task, but it's the most difficult thing they have to face till the end of the season. A possible 1 loss... 2 if the wheels fall off (drops from rankings)

Mich States only real chance of losing the rest of the regular season is Nebraska, who they are 0-5 against all time... then they will probably represent their division against OSU in the CCG. Drops rank with loss to Nebraska, but not from OSU.

Fresno State's toughest final game is against Wyoming, or maybe SJSU, but regardless they still have to face their own CCG. I find this team the most likely to win out, but that's good for us because we need them to soak up the Fiesta Bowl slot.

aTm still has to play @LSU, and @Mizzou to close out the season. They will, at best, split those games I think, but SEC bias will keep them ahead of us unless they lose out.

OSU still has to play Baylor and Oklahoma, but they get them both at home. Only a loss to both of them would place them below us I believe.

I think that is the most we can reasonably expect to favor from losses ahead of us. Of course it's all for naught unless we win out. One loss and we're done. All in all, I think we can go as high as 13-15 if we have the perfect storm of upsets, and we win out. This, before hopefully the Sugar or Orange Bowl. If we win that BCS bowl we will definitely be top 10.
Not be in the AAC

Apparently whoever lost is what it took.

Miami and... someone else, idk I can't remember
We need people to lose now in order to move up but we may jump NIU by just winning.
