Not.

Even.

A little.
Nopst.
Troll alert
It isn't trolling when we are 2-6 and I yearn for the days of SEC wins and bowl appearances.

I'm mainly interested in CUSA wins right now. We need to worry about winning there 1st. Watson's 5-6'ish teams were a lot better than what we have now, and his defenses under JOHN NEAL in 2000-2001 were great. I do not miss the sprinkle of bad character players, and Watson letting things off-the-field spiral out of control though.
That last word shouldn't be plural.
Some things about that era I do miss, some not so much. The past can be remembered fondly or negatively and sometimes both but it can be relived. The future is all that lies ahead.

You mean our 2 SEC victories and 1 bowl appearance?
Nope - I miss Gene Bartow and a BOT without the corrupt gambling magnate on it.
Also, don't forget the 2006 Oklahoma dogfight.

Watson's teams had swagger.

Watson..... is that you?

I remember Watson punting with about 2 minutes to play down by 7.

First time I ever saw Mrs. Smaug yell at a television.

Watson swaggered Rice to a 4-18 record, and Vandy to a 10-45 record.......yep, SWAGGER, I'm TELLING YA!!!!

Watson's teams had stagger.

Fixed it .
Oh, they had lots of swagger.

Particularly after laying a big hit on a receiver after he catches a 20 pass on 3rd and 18.
Doesn't matter if we miss him or not since he'll be retiring after this year. Not sure if he's being forced out or not, but TTU is 3-7 on the year with 2 games left (have lost the last 5). If TTU loses the next 2, he'll finish his career tied for most losses ever by a head coach (199).

Boy, two brothers at opposite ends of the W/L spectrum.

If Mack had been the HC at Rice, UAB and Vandy, his record would look very similar to Watson's. With the $$$$, facilities, recruiting goldmine, etc.., at Texas, he should have several NC's..........guarantee you, it wouldn't take Saban, Meyer, or even someone like Malzahn long to win a title there.
