Well, playing the odds and numbers game we should have a good chance of getting 2 to 3 more wins. But we are talking about UAB.

No game is a gimme, but we may have a good chance against UTSA, MT, and USM. But who knows.

Hell of a season fellas.
Freshman Alston, Sophomore Roberson, and Sophomore Crumbley have been added to the defensive mix, as of late. That certainly adds depth to the defense.

If we can pull out the Rice game and steal one of either Marshall or ECU, that's a bowl game season. Plus we've got plenty of time to improve and get healthy before then.

Here's some "reality" for you: Other teams screw up too. Marshall and ECU both had some serious issues this past weekend. They don't look like clear favorites to win the conference to me anymore. This league is wide open.
In what world is Rice-UAB a toss-up game? I'm not saying UAB can't get it's stuff together and win that game, but we are definitely going to be underdogs in that game.
In the world where Blazer fans look at opponents the same way Bama fans look at opponents.

Rice (bad team) + UAB (bad team) = toss up.
1 game at a time.
It's the same Bama style thinking that made some of you think UAB could beat Vandy.
I think we have a better shot at beating MTSU than Rice. IMHO... One game at a time is for the players and coaches, not the fans.

UTSA is much better than a pretend team. They have played a tough schedule, and have hung with some good teams for 3 quarters. I say 50-50, at best. We should beat USM. MTSU and Rice should be toss-ups, as we get both at home. Rice will be favored though. Our ongoing injury situation will play a major roll in how the season shakes out too.

No doubt about it. MTSU has QB issues, and has looked really bad in some games. Rice is pretty solid.

My bet is Rice will be a significant favorite. I don't see that as a toss up at all.

As far as UTSA hanging with teams through 3 quarters... was it the 42-7 score vs OK State or the 31-6 score vs Arizona you are talking about? They did play Houston well through 3 quarters and then got destroyed 28-0 in the fourth. They were down 27-7 after 3 against Rice and 24-10 against Marshall.

I'm being a bit of a smart ass, but somehow UTSA has built up this reputation of putting up a good fight against quality opponents, but it really hasn't been the case.

It is for me. Makes no sense to worry about any games past the next one.

UTSA will be a challenge. I hope we get a lot of our players back healthy.

If we do, we have a decent chance of winning.

Agree with the UTSA statement. They are legitimate.

The Houston game was the one I watched part of. Houston might not be that good this year anyway........had a hard time putting Memphis away Saturday. Hopefully, UTSA will stink it up against us. Even though they are not that good, I am amazed at their fan support. If I'm not mistaken, isn't our Rice game on Thursday and televised? That would be a great game to show up and make a statement.
Yes, Rice is on a Thursday and on TV.
Great. Maybe there can be a monsoon again and we can get trashed on our attendance moreso than we already do.
Thursday night games have typically been pretty good attendance games, comparatively speaking, IIRC.
