Hello Minerfans -

I have a group coming to the game on Sept 21, and we are looking at tickets. Our ticket office indicated that section 2 on this seating chart is the visitors' section. Is that correct?

Thanks for your help. Looking forward to the game. 04-cheers

Not sure how that is going to pan out. They announced UTEP will be on the side of the press box (captain's club) this year. In years past it was section 2 but with the home team switch I'd think the visitors section would move to 25. ?? The seating chart still has the student section in the same place so definitely don't get tickets over there unless you have thick skin. Hopefully you and yours are treated respectfully and enjoy some fine EP hospitality. The bar/club scene on Cincinnati street is typically pretty good before and after games. (It's off mesa street across the Don Haskins Center) Downtown also has several options and is only 5 min away

My season tickets are in sec 23. I wonder if I am in enemy territory now.

Nice seats! Personally, I'd prefer to be on the side opposite the Miners so you can see the opponents more closely and the front of the UTEP coaching staff. Section 23 should give you decent perspective regardless of what endzone the players are near.
We got the tickets lined up. One of our buddies is driving to the game, so we will probably have a small tailgate. What's the situation for visiting tailgaters? Do we need a parking pass, or is there an area near the stadium we can set up?
That's a good question, Deuce. UTEP is under some MAJOR construction right now. For the first home game, three parking lots usually reserved for parking passes were opened up to the public. There are tons of spaces though. You shouldn't have a prob.

I never found a stream but listened to the game online. The post game pics look like the band was moved to the endzone??? Did the seating chart change after all?

No, just the band. Visitors are still in the same corner... I imagine that is going to change, because it was kind of weird.

At the corner of Mesa St and Kern Dr there is a parking lot... We call it the Rudolph parking lot, it is free to tailgate at that spot. The lot is not too far from the stadium
