TOLEDO, OH – Rocket fans can get a double dose of fun on Saturday, Aug. 17 when the University of Toledo football program hosts its annual Fan Appreciation Day at the Glass Bowl and Rocky’s Locker (formerly The Rocket Shop) celebrates its grand re-opening at Savage Arena on the same day.
Fan Appreciation Day begins at 2:00 p.m. Fans can watch practice, then meet the players and coaches for an autograph session at approximately 4:00 p.m. under the west side grand stands. The first 500 fans will receive a free Rocket Football poster. Fans will also be able to get their photo taken with their favorite Rocket player, or with UT mascots Rocky and Rocksy. Admission is free.
Fans can also stock up on the latest Rocket gear at newly expanded Rocky’s Locker, which will be open from noon-5:00 p.m. in a special grand re-opening. Coupons for special discounts will be given out to fans at the Glass Bowl, and food will be available for sale outside Savage Arena. Rocky’s Locker is located in the Sullivan Athletic Complex at Savage Arena.
Fans can also purchase their season tickets at the Savage Arena Ticket Office at Fan Appreciation Day from noon-5:00 p.m. Ultimate Fan Plan season tickets are still available. For just $65, the Ultimate Fan Plan gives fans a season ticket, a $20 gift certificate to Rocky’s Locker, free parking and free food at every game.
The Rockets open their season on Aug. 31 at No. 10 Florida and begin their home campaign on Sept. 14 vs. Eastern Washington.
