I haven't heard anyone say he can't catch. I've heard he has to work on his route-running.

ive read multiple places that things like "just because somebody is a great athlete doesnt mean he can catch"...giving the impression that folks think he'll be unable to catch like a receiver should

Let me rephrase. I haven't heard anyone in any official capacity with the Vikings say he can't catch. I've heard he has to work on his route-running.

All I've heard the "he can't catch" stuff from are Vikings fans.

The same who think a certain QB can pass.

Hard to catch a ball thrown 6 foot in front of you at your feet or over your head.

Whenever someone is mentioned as athletic, that should throw up a red flag.

The coaches have said Joe can catch basically anything remotely near him, so it may not be hard for him to accomplish aforementioned feats.

Hard for announcers to say one is athletic when they are carrying a clipboard on the sidelines.

Joe has had time at the QB spot. And every time I've watched him play the announcers have talked about his athletic ability and his legs.

& he won his share of games.

Then the front office decided to go in another direction.
