No one will have to if he has to sit out a year will they?
Articel says he'll be sitting a year.
What the.
Is Whitaker leaving?
Even though he is sitting out (redshirting) this year, he will still be on scholarship and count against our limit unless he plans to pay his own way (doubtful because he was pretty heavily recruited.)
Unless he pays his own way when sitting out he's on scholarship which puts us at 14.
He would be on scholarship his year he is sitting out.

Getting a starter off of a decent ACC school is pretty big.

It will really help with the loss of experience we have after next year.
My #1 guess is Whitaker.
My #2 guess is Purifoy.

I hope we don't go very far down your list.
Whitaker might get a medical hardship waiver if his ankle doesn't get good enough to play again.
I would agree with MB's list. Worried it may be Purifoy because he's such good friends with Quincy.

Otherwise looks like a good pickup to get a starter from an ACC school. Gets him a year learning the system while sitting out to help with experience in 2014.
What the heck..looks. like the class of 2014 will need 4 bigs... this is a good get for 2014...I expect attrition will take care of number 14.

It'll work itself out. I just don't have enough information to comfortably report on that just yet, but bear with me.

Good kid - I didn't talk to him long, but very well-spoken and really excited about coming to UAB.

Could it be that one of our earlier signees didn't get in to UAB because of grades?
Quote:Brown said he also considered East Tennessee State since an old high school coach is there. He'll sit out this year under the NCAA transfer rule.

not exactly high level company...
Did Robert take him to the cheesecake factory too?
Maybe one of our seniors to be is on the verge of graduating & can transfer & play right away.

We're in no position to look down our noses at anyone.
I would bet its a current recruit that won't make it. Just speculation. I don't think any current player is leaving.

We still have the higher standards in place so it would stand to reason.
