This greatly affects us. Could determine if we are in east or west division.
The 16 team model weighs more than the 14 team model.
I want in a division with la tech usm Wku mtsu charlotte and I don't care who else.

This isn't feasible with the current cusa
Ehh... I wouldn't settle for La-La or Ark St.

There are some attractive schools in the Atlantic-10 and Missouri Valley for Basketball+Olympics(maybe UMass for football but even that is questionable), but I'm not interested in expansion for the sake of geography if it only loses us money.

Won't happen in currrent or 16 team configuration. DClosest you can come is iff CUSA adds western teams pushing UAB to the East w/USM and LaTech in the west. I think it wiill be either UAB, USM, and LaTech in the West or UAB, WKU, and MTSU in the east.
I don't see CUSA breaking up MTSU+WKU or UAB+USM

I also don't see how adding ark st ULL or any other SBC or MAC team will help this conference.
It would keep UAB with Charlotte, ODU, WKU and MTSU.

Ark St. is the best football program in the Sun Belt.
Troy dominated SBC football for years, but I don't hear anyone calling for them to enter C-USA. I think if you can land Ohio and UMass, every team could have three regional games they play yearly and rotate the rest within a division.
What would a north-south split be vs east-west? Would that be more beneficial to CUSA?

05-nono 05-mafia We will have none of that "outsidetheboxthinking" around here.

I think anyway you look at it, UAB is on the border of either division. That being said North/South would work great if they included Southern Miss in the North for UAB; however the I doubt the South schools would be happy with this alignment (F*U to UTEP...).
Maybe I am shortsighted or maybe I think in the long term, it won't matter, but I don't really care if we play in the east or west, or north or south for that matter.
Me either MB. I can get to UTEP just as easy or in fact easier that Norfolk.
The actual geographic location of a team (school) is not all that important if the distances are not too extreme (UTEP to the east or Marshall to the west). Most leagues consider it a business decision as to how the conference is to be aligned so I think C-USA would likely keep UAB and USM together if they value the competition as good for business (note that UMO is in the SEC east).

the reason missou is in the east is because uat threw a hissy about aubbie going east (something they wanted to do)
Expanding will do nothing but further water down revenues.

I agree. It appears that it will be more slices than more pie.
