Scalp City.
20+ years since they had a sellout. None of the games sold out during the failed Michael Jordan season or has that been over 20 years? I'm getting old.
Wow, the comments section. SMH

You're safe as long as you don't go to Railroad Park.

I really hope your just kidding. My friends and I go to railroad park at least once a week to ride our bikes in the bowls, and have never had any problems.
And I thought that type of paranoia could only be drug induced. 01-wingedeagle

Somebody got shot and killed when I was there flying kites with my brother, so...I'm semi-joking.
Whoever Smauggy is needs to stop dissing the suburbanites... a lot of them will be filling the stands on opening night. 03-wink

That was a horrible event and if it were to become a recurring event then there would be something to worry about, but that could have happened anywhere.

I'm a burbanite, but I'm not a hater.

The rubes that should be offended know who they are. 03-lol

That's ignorance induced. Studies have shown that bigotry and racism can be contributing factors

Those comments are the very reason that Birmingham cant get ahead. There is too much of an us vs. them mentality, and some of is in just straight up racism.03-banghead

A lot of it is based in racism if not the majority at least to some degree
I completely agree. Makes me sick.
AL.com is, at best, complicit in the behavior. While I know many fine folks over there, as a whole, they refuse to moderate and steer the discussion toward a more productive and valuable position. In their defense, many online papers lack the staff and resources to do so as well. But they are, to some degree, enabling the deplorable behavior with which we've all become familiar.
