"WW has his own ticket and said he doesn't need a credential. "This is a form of harassment from the NCAA for no apparent reason," WW said."
I am laughing so loud I might pop an ear drum.
Ushers had pictures of him and was told to be on the lookout.
hey, how about you just ban everybody without credentials from the credentialed areas? the NCAA is such a joke
They are enforcing a rule against someone who breaks rules. I am with rather NCAA on this one.
The fact that the NCAA took even the smallest action against Worldwide Wes and his ilk is progress. Yeah, it's petty and childish and does not amount to much, but I'll take it.
I'm sure he has bribed ushers in the past to get into areas he isn't supposed to be. Distribute his picture and he is not getting in unless he bribes everyone.

I have no problem with the NCAA not wanting him there.
I guess my point is that they have to single him out bc they do a crappy job of enforcing their rules in the first place.
No, it's more like he's a fat cat who expects and gets special treatment pretty much wherever he goes. He gets walked past the rope line routinely... until the NCAA said no, not this time.

He'll still get special treatment most places, because he's a power broker who can influence where high end recruits do and do not go.

Just ask Cal.

It does seem strange to feel compelled to give security a picture and tell them to not allow a guy into credentialed areas without credentials. It would seem like that would be Security 101. You would have to imagine that people who actually take pride in what they're doing would be somewhat offended by that. It's essentially saying, "Look, we know you guys suck at your job and are extremely likely to take a $100 handshake to look the other way. But we really, really mean it with this guy. So how about you get it right for once?"

I love that WWW is offended, though. People don't go to the trouble of printing out your picture and handing it to every damn security guard in the building unless there's a history that suggests it's necessary.
I think its absolutely hilarious. Really. It's about time this grubbernaut got his fingers caught in the jar...
