Always good to schedule a 1-1 vs a FBS team that you have a good shot of defeating.

Dear OUBobcat9092,
Yes, I see your schedule loaded with toughies the next few years...Eastern Illinois, North Texas, Southeast Louisiana, Idaho, and let's not forget the always powerful Austin Peay! With schedules that contain those schools, it's no wonder that Ohio wins eight games a year.
I like it!!!

Dear Ken Barna,
Did EMU lose to a FCS opponent this year?

Yes...... Yes they did. Don't forget the year before they play 2 D1-AA schools.

Dear Optimist and utpotts,
First of all the loss was last year, not this year. Secondly, I don't like someone thinking they are so much better then my school just because they have had a better record then us. Ohio has had a predisposition for scheduling some pretty easy opponents since Solich has been there, and it will probably continue.
Eastern has scheduled some softies themselves, but not to the extent Ohio does. Some of you on this board should also realize you will not be on top forever, and your time to fall may be sooner then you think.

Ummmmmm..... Illinois State is D1-AA they beat you last season. This year hasn't happened yet. Even in down times for Toledo, we still beat good teams (I.E. Michigan), and still schedule difficult teams, not loading up on D1-AA Schools and transfer schools like Charlotte who will more than likely bail out on the return game to Ypsi.

I don't have a problem with Ohio's scheduling philosophy. One BCS-level game, one local rival (Marshall), one MAC level team (WAC, CUSA, Sun Belt), and one FCS game.

We don't have to go out and get our brains beat in 2 or 3 times in non-conference to make up for the budget b/c we can't get more than 2,000 fans to show up for a home game.
Dear OUBobcat9092,
If you think you are running your athletic budget, or even your football budget on your fans in the stands, I've got a bridge to sell you. You better wake up and smell the coffee.
EMU really stinks at football. Year in and year out.

Dear Ken Barna,

If you think EMU wouldn't trade their attendance with Ohio, I've got a bridge to sell you.
Dear Big Man,
You are avoiding the statement of Ohio covering its costs from fans in the stands. As usual, from someone like you, make a statement that has nothing to do with the statement I made. Your day is coming when Ohio football will fall to the bottom, and when it does you'll hear from me.

Ken,

I really don't care about Ohio football or if they "fall to the bottom". My point is EMU attendance has been dreadful for the span of almost three decades and there is nothing they can do to change the problem. Ohio may fall from grace, but EMU will never achieve anything close to what Ohio has the past decade. Enjoy your stay in college football hell. I hear the weather can get quite cold in the shadow of the Big House.
