Quote:•To clarify uniform rules as follows: “Jerseys must have clearly visible, permanent Arabic numerals measuring at least 8 and 10 inches in height front and back, respectively, and be of one solid color that itself is clearly in distinct contrast with the color of the jersey, irrespective of any border around the number.” This rule goes into effect for Football Bowl Subdivision teams in 2013. Football Championship Subdivision, Division II and Division III teams will have until 2014 before the rule becomes effective.

jaredf29 brought up a good point on the CR board. Could this new rule clarification force UCF to change the away jerseys and home gold jerseys?

In the past the gold on white was seen as contrasting, but maybe this new clarification affects that. The border cannot be used to clarify the numbers, it has to be the number itself that contrasts the jersey. This could prompt a minor change to UCF's uniform to have either a black number on the white jerseys or a black number on the gold jerseys or both.
I'm thinking if people wanted to make a fuss we could end changing them.
I don't see a problem with the white jerseys with gold numbers. However, I think that the gold jerseys with white numbers might fall under this rule.

Then again, as someone mentioned on the UCF Rivals page, this rule was probably designed more for Oregon and other schools that go insane with their designs; we aren't that crazy with ours.

But overall, I wish all three jerseys fell under this rule so we'd have to get new uniforms 04-rock
