That is significant. If they are consistent then maybe a national championship. (Don't knock it, a national title is a national title).
And then I see they get destroyed by the rest of the competition...
based on the scores it looks more like SHS had a bad showing that UAB excelling
We played excellent defense.
Great ball handling skills.
Must have been the cigarettes & beer.
As we say in every other sport, "That's why we play the game -- ratings don't mean a thing once you go "between the stripes", or in this sport, "between the gutters" ".

Is there such a thing as "home lane advantage" in bowling?

I would say to a certain extent. There are differences in the "wood" of the lanes. Plus there is the comfort many bowlers feel after bowling in certain houses for extended periods of time. The oil pattern may be the same but the lanes may be different. Plus the layout and HVAC system used to cool and heat the building will have different effects on when and how fast the oil pattern will break down while playing.

I have different averages in 3 different houses down here in Prattville/Montgomery area. But my highest league avg (215) is in the house where I have bowled the most and feel most comfortable.
