I have seen no proof that this entity designated "Norm Reilly" actually exists.
he was at a UAT game last week

another embarassment for us as blazer fans.
What was his task at these games?

To report on "real" games.
I assume stats.it was on game day for uab which is his employer.
the guy can have another job to improve his living ,,,nothing wrong with that

I dont have a problem with him doing other jobs to improve his living as yoi say,but do his so called #1 job.he is seen more in other venues than his real job.
Ah-hah. The Herman Frazier effect.
Bama's basketball SID, Aaron Jordan, is often seen at UAB games in Blazer attire. Of course he used to be UAB's basketball SID, but, according to your specifications, he should never come back to Bartow Arena.
There are several people here who have a personal vendetta against Reilly, it has never been explained on the board, but it is obvious that it is personal.

Fact

I don't hate you, Norm.
I think it is a legitimate question. I certainly don't fault the guy for trying to make more money. Then again I don't know his status at UAB. Is he full time or part time? I can certainly understand part time employees having multiple jobs. I know I am not allowed to have multiple jobs nor do we allow any of our employees. It's company policy. I do think it's a legitimate question though. I do know one thing. If Brian Mackin was spotted working an Alabama or Auburn game this board would be in melt down about it with posters demanding his head on a platter. There has been questions in that department for some time so one has to wonder. To say people have a vendetta against the guy is just plain silly.

As far as Aaron, is he actually working or visiting. FWIW I think Aaron is a great guy and do not fault him for bettering himself. Glad to see him still support the green and gold when he can.

BTW That's not Norm but I suspect he works for one of the local television outlets. How about a little more coverage please Mr. TV guy?
There have been any number of reservations expressed about our sports information department. There have been many things that were not publicized, or not in a timely manner, and slipped through the coverage cracks. UAB is not UAT, we need every edge we can find, and we need to be proactive and manufacture coverage any way we can.

I have no vendetta against Norm... but I have my doubts about the efficiency of that department, and I wonder if folks are a little too comfortable.

Fact

True dat.

And I think Norm is working for ESPN and other tv networks who cover games for SEC. I've seen him on the table at various venues. I'm 99% he has never "part time" worked for UA.
I think its silly to say people have a vendetta against the guy. I have seen no evidence of that. I also don't think anyone accused him of working for UAT unless I just missed it. hemay have been at a UAT game but I don't think he ever worked one. I could be wrong. Hell I have attended UAT games. (To cheer for conference mates)
Norm is not in charge of basketball coverage for UAB. That is now handled by Ben Warnick, who replaced Aaron Jordan. Norm is in charge of the Sports Information Department as an entity and the people who work under him handle the individual sports. You can often see Norm working at the press table for UAB's televised games.
