Wonder if Mike Davis will show up to cheer us on.
Today's game features two of the worst teams in C-USA. Rice is the worst team.

Houston has lost four straight, and UAB has lost five straight games. Houston is 12-6 overall and 1-4 in C-USA. Houston played one of the weakest OOC schedules of all time, featuring six teams ranked worse than 300 in the country and one non-D1 school.

However, KenPom has Houston favored in this game 83-80.

Both Houston and UAB are picked to finish 5-11 in C-USA this season. Rice is projected to go 2-14.

In conference games only, UAB is last in C-USA in several offensive categories: efficiency, effective field goal %, free throw rate (times you go to the charity stripe), and 3-point %. Adjusted tempo is 3rd in the conference for conference games, but still remains 3rd nationally overall.

Defensively, UAB is last in C-USA (conference games only) in 3-point % and steals. UAB is 11th in free throw rate (we foul a lot).

In C-USA games only, the home team is winning 66.7% of the time.

Houston plays in Hofheinz Pavilion, which has a capacity of 8,500 (just like The Bart).
I believe Houston's Joseph Young is leading the conference in free throw % at 93.0%. Preston Purifoy is now 91.8%.
UAB hasn't won a game outside the state of Alabama. .
Well lets get this one, and XCMD, XCMA nor XCMB have reasons to attend their formal teams games against other teams.

I live in Uganda and am not able to watch the games, but if we are playing in formal attire then I think our record is pretty good. I can't wait to get back to the states and check out the Nike Tux.

It's definitely slowing us down. It's the reason our adjusted tempo is so high, which is currently 3rd in the country. The computer knows we are playing in Nike formal wear, and the weighting factor for the adjustment is statistically significant.
KenPom has UAB ranked 2nd overall of formal teams.

The Southwestern Louisiana College of Ettiquette is first.

As one of the better formal teams, they should be able to get in the big Dance.
