Correct. Graduation is not required to be inducted into the Hall of Fame.

Why would he turn down being nominated into the blazers HoF? What issues is he going through that would make him do that?

There was a headline a couple of weeks back on the ESPN ticker that probably is the reason.

Vic Salem needs to be inducted in his place.

Nice. I didn't know that. Great way to represent UAB. Not sure I'd want him to be in our HoF anyways, unless he is completely cleared of all those charges.

Are you saying graduation has nothing to do with being passed over this time? I agree with that. Or graduation has nothing to do with UAB HoF induction, because that's still a prerequisite, right?

Graduation is a prerequisite for having a jersey retired, as is being an All American. I don't know if it is for Hall of Fame.

You are correct. Graduation is a nice bonus, but it is not required for the hall of fame. As stated above, graduation and All-America honors are required to have your jersey retired.
