Damn. First Tuberville literally got up from eating lunch with kids he was recruiting to Texas Tech, took a call from Cincy, and never even went back to the table, and now this.
That's a two-way street.

If he's cutting all of Jones' recruits loose, who's he going to sign in February?

Wait. He just hired our recruiting coordinator. I suddenly don't like where this is headed.

In comparison, he is making Petrino look good.
Not possible.
How about we just get rid of verbal commitments altogether? Why does signing day have to be after a coach can leave? Why can a kid back out of a verbal, but a coach gets ripped to shreds for doing the same thing?

I hate the whole system. That being said, Tubberville not notifying these kids was a dick move.

Maybe he'll go after guys he knows who weren't quite good enough for T-Tech; then he can leave our recruits alone.
Anybody recall our record the last 5 or 6 years?

I don't know for sure, but I think we've lost more than we've won.
Well, they DID hire the guy.
What bothers me is that we just lost 2 assistant coaches to two guys I wouldn't want to share a subway car with. Do you think that Brohm and Helton think they are improving their situation ?
Not on topic but I want one of those metals everyone has now. What's up with those?

Having a scholarship offer pulled due to a coaching change is disappointing to the recruit, but it's commonplace and not newsworthy.

Not telling the kid that he no longer has a scholarship offer and preventing him from attempting to get another offer is what makes this story newsworthy and dickish.

We've gotten away from them for a while.

Look at the awards threads.
