Darn. This could be the 2nd OC we lose in just one year of Stache. I'm sure Petrino will try to grab all of the displaced Arkansas assistants. Hopefully we don't have much coaching turnover.
Well, it's rumor for now, so I'll take a wait and see attitude.

On the other hand, if he were to go, I doubt he'd go on local radio there and get asked by some goober (pointing at you, Matty C) about the "mistake" of turning down a job offer from Little Nicky Saban.
We know how accurate that site is......

He has a nice job at Etowah High School. Why would anyone want to leave Attalla? Where is that sarcastic emoticon?
i would think brohm would be the next in line if mcgee does well and moves up the ladder. of course petrino wont be staying at wku long if he does well

Umm, I have no intentions of leaving Etowah High School.
"A source with direct knowledge confirmed this to AL.com."
In my opinion, if you are willing to work for Petrino, or hold him in esteem, you are a scumbag, and I don't want you associated with my program.

That's why I'm not on board the McGee train.
Petrino is a skunk, sure.

You've never worked with a skunk?
When someone has been instrumental in your life, you don't abandon them after they make a error in judgement. The quality of man that McGee is, is not determined by how many co-eds Petrino decides to ride around.
If this was to a UARK or a BCS program with more money I'd be okay with it... This is to WKU, a SBC team with less tv money than we have...

May be conference mates soon...

McGee calls plays just like Petrino, so losing an OC isn't that big of a deal.
The one problem I could see if a recruit came becuase of Brohm. There are numerous examples of recruits leaving or changing commitments to follow a coach who recruited them or they wanted to be coached by.

its a promotion to asst head coach that would pay more money in an area with a lower cost of living. its also on a team that won seven games this year in a conference that was better on the field that cusa this year. with all the changes in membership over the next couple of years the only thing cusa will have over the belt in football with be markets. he might also be thinking petrino will win and win fast and in two years he would be a favorite for the job.
He's from Louisville, so it takes him close to home.

Assistants come and go. As long as we're not hiring the head coach's old buddies and roommates, we'll be fine.
