This is probably just as true as the former Hoover coach coming to UAB...whatever that guys name was
His name was being tossed around. Niblett spent a few years on the staff at Jax State so he is familiar with the program. I would love to see who the other candidates are though.
Ellis Johnson to Hoover.

No, this is a real possibility. He was head coach at Oxford before coming to Hoover and has Jax State roots. He is very well respected up there, so I could see it happening.

Others being mentioned:
South Alabama defensive coordinator Bill Clark
Middle Tennessee defensive coordinator Tyrone Nix
Syracuse offensive line coach/recruiting coordinator Greg Adkins
West Alabama head coach Will Hall
Texas A&M linebackers coach Matt Wallerstedt
I would not rule it out.

Sounds like a legitimate choice for them.

Will Hall is a great young up and coming head coach.
I have heard from a reliable source that JSU is extremely interested in Niblett.
Bill Clark is also from the area.
Wouldn't Niblitt have to take a pay cut, going from Hoover to Jax St?

I think he makes something in the $150,000 to $200,000 coaching at Hoover U.

Not bad for a faculty member who meets no classes (last I heard). Actually, many (most?) BB and FB HCs receive the equivalent of 2 or 3 teacher's salaries and meet no classes during the school day. They only coach their sport. Their ability to throw any underperforming or troublesome students off their team is something any academic teacher would envy. We just have to find a way to work with them in class.

I didn't know that until I lost one of my best history teachers, Robert (RAH-RAH) Scott, when the principal feared he would be transferred to Parker when their coach died. He dissolved all 3 of Scott's classes and asked me to distribute the kids to other teacher's classes. As it worked out, Scott left anyways to go to UAB as an assistant.
I imagine there is a difference in pensions being a high school teacher versus a college teacher even with the same salary.

Just guessing though.
