Hello fellow Den Men (and Lady)

I would like to announce and invite you all to a "Board Meeting"

Board Meeting - Pitt basketball game
Date: December 31st (yes NYE)
Time: 12 PM - ? (tipoff time is 12PM)
Place: Eastside_J house in Anderson (just north of Kellogg Ave)

Why? Why not? - It has been a long time since our last board meeting and it also is a chance to give our friend and fearless Moderator, BearcatJim a proper sendoff as he seeks even greater fame and fortune in the heat of Alabama.

Whats in it for me? Well I kinda thought comraderie and a festive atmosphere would be enough, but sheesh, since you asked:
- Kegerator
- Upper and Lower level viewing areas with big screens.
- Outside patio and deck TV viewing area (which doubles as a "smokers lounge")
- Food

Sounds good so far, what else? Well I anticipated some people would have other NYE plans and some wouldn't. The rest of my family is going to be in Florida Which means that I plan on celebrating the day the old fashioned way - doing whatever the heck sounds fun to do. And carelessly maintaining an optimal buzz into the New Years evening sounds delightful. You are free to come for the game and leave or make a New Years out of it.

There are only two things I ask:
1. Don't drive home loaded. I am looking to add friends not lose them or see them arrested.
2. No kids in the evening. It is fine for the Pitt game part but after that it is adults only. (my kids aren't going to be here).

All Den Members are invited. A few non-Den members may be invited as well, but please realize I am not putting this out to all board posters.

Well what in the hell we sposed to do ya moron? Well RSVP - let me know whether you plan on coming (or not) as soon as possible please!

- I am coming from out of town and could use some help with accomadations.

I have/do not have a nitrous oxide tank and am willing to share.

Again please respond either way. All those who respond that they plan on attending - you can respond here or in PM - wiill get a PM from me with my address and directions.

We are just across the river in Anderson, near Lunken Airport and very close to 471 and 275.

And the bonus is that you get a dose of me all night...bloated and sunburnt fresh from my week in Cancún.

I'm sure the girl will have other plans for that night, but that sounds like a fun way to spend the afternoon. I plan on making it out there. Fun idea.

You know that I'm committed to The Den. Both me and Mrs. Ragpicker have often felt like most of you are family. We welcomed some of you to our tailgate in Memphis. We tried our best to "Represent the D(en)".

Just so I'm comfortable with my choices for NYE, I would like a little more time to explore some options. Maybe a little skiing in Colorado. Or a nice trip to Tennessee - Mrs. Ragpicker does love her country music.

Of course, my plan is to be in attendance. "I'm a Den Member, why wouldn't I be?" Possibly a little extra swag thrown my way might help. Eastside, if you could stop by my house a few times in the coming weeks to see what more you could offer, I would always be willing to listen. Because I'm committed.

One quick correction- tip off time is noon.

Hmmm, lots to offer, but if you ask me to "hold your rope" I am going to have to decline.

Eastside, please plan on Mrs. QSECOFR and me for the game only. I believe she already has New Year's Eve plans.

P.S. Mrs. QSECOFR and I are leaving early in the morning for a cruise abord the RC Allure of the Seas. Be back in about a week. While we are gone, see if y'all can make a good football hire.

I am in of course. I would say just for the game at the current time, however, that could change depending on my plans.

P.S. this may change in the next week. I have a good feeling I may be planning a move to either the middle of no where Michigan or to Clearwater, FL in the near future.

No Libertarian talk, though. That has to be out, or I'm not comin'. You Libs don't like welfare, and welfare checks are important to us foks who didn't inherit our daddy's money like you fer instance. In my case, it's all I have to carry us to the grave, that and the disability I get since I slipped on pig fat on my first day of work back in 1963.

Sounds like a great idea and count me in...Let me know what I can bring! Happy Holidays to all :) I think of Tuberville as an early Christmas present to all UC fans. I couldn't log in yesterday and it was driving me crazy.

Sorry I should have read the entire invite...will be me & Matt. No kids. I love them but I wouldn't subject your kindness to their curious destruction. Afternoon of course and some of the evening. Thanks again for the invite.
