I am the band director at Etowah High School and work with Coach Schumann. He has been at Etowah since he left UAB. I have had several conversations with him throughout the fall semester. I have come to find that he is a nice guy and truly cares about the guys that he coaches. As far as being the coach in waiting? Not sure there is an truth to that. I have lunch room duty with the head coach (who has been on several SEC staffs) and he hasn't indicated that he is looking for a different job.

I guess he went to charm school or read Dale Carnegle book "How to win friends & influennce people.
