With all their trouble, I'm surprised they are rated even 9th.
Yes, 9th is much too high. Look at the teams below them and the trouble they've had winning in some of those venues when they had quality players and depth.

Not to mention every single team in that conference will be out for blood against a really bad Xavier team that has been atop the league for the past few years.
Happy Days!!! Couldn't happen to a bigger bunch of aholes. Too bad Mack can't pull a Coach K and claim a back injury and the need for a year off.
Bump
Charlotte is 9-0
After a loss at UT yesterday, Xavier is now 7-5.
Ok. What's up with Xavier? 4-0 in conference including beating Temple.

I'm assuming the A-10 simply sucks this year?
The A10 is AWFUL outside of the two team they added -- Butler and VCU.

Didn't Temple beat Syracuse?

I think the A10 has some really good teams Butler and VCU are really good, and both awesome teams to watch in completely different ways. Temple, UMass, Dayton, SLU are all very solid squads. Xavier's talent is starting to win some games. It's a young team, but they have players.
Granted, they have exceeded expectations. I expect X to face a difficult February with that short bench. It seems that's when fatigue kicks in and bench players have to carry better teams to the tourney. I would still be shocked if they can build their resume enough for March Madness.
