Should the Pirates be considering swapping Hanrahan for a bat or for prospects to flip for a bat?
Closers are notoriously overrated as the trade deadline approaches. It doesn't look like he's going to be in black and gold very much longer anyway because he's not signed long-term. In addition, this team needs a bat more than they need Hanrahan. Lincoln or Grilli could step in and close games out, or we could use some combination of the two of them.
My answer to this is yes - Hanrahan should be on the market. I'm not sure the Bucs will agree, but it's possible this could happen.
