Hey LA Tech, glad you are making the jump from WAC to CUSA with us (UTSA). We've heard you were the team to beat in the WAC. Looking forward to playing you in both conferences.
Welcome to Conference USA, Louisiana Tech! I'm so looking forward to seeing your sports teams in competition, especially the Women's Basketball program. I can remember when it was mentioned among the most elite programs in the country. Can anyone that follows La. Tech tell me how strong the Women's team is expected to be this season?
We are very optimistic. Some good new players.

To be honest I was not excited about UTSA being considered as I though you were going to leap frog us to CUSA due to your market. However since we have both secured a spot in CUSA I'm glad to have another WAC brethern to share the Western Division with. If you think about it all but two schools of the Western Division will be former WAC members: Rice, Tulsa, UTEP, LA Tech & UTSA (SMU would have been one too if they were not leaving for the Big East). I do think that once y'all get your feet wet in FBS play you will be someone to watch out for! Good luck this season!! 04-cheers
