I think we'll win the UTC and Southern game. Were going to be a lot better next year..which is funny saying over half our roster is going to be freshman.
They can beat Southern. @ ND: just hope it's closer than Wisky. @ Pitt: same. @ TN - closer than Auburn may be a stretch, but possible. Saying that, give credit, they're not laying down against tough opponents and will get some notoriety by playing such a tough schedule. Playing @ ND is just awesome!

Quick sidenote: Coach didn't mention these 3 when talking about new recruits on website.:
5. Nigel Pruitt (F, Maryland, 2012)
6. Cam Jones
7. Cole Hobbs

Also, skinny on coaching changes were that they didn't want to work as hard as Preston asked....interesting to see how high the bar is set.
Good point. Thought signing day was yesterday..."premature anticipation" on my part.
Tennessee will blow you guys out of the building. You won't have an answer for Maymon and Stokes underneath which will cause all sorts of issues outside with McBee and Golden. Not to mention Makanjula will be a monster for them next year off the bench, and may even start a few games. They were one or two wins away from the NCAA's last year, and didn't lose any real, consistent production off last year's team.
Nah Mike Hunt. UTC has a decent program. We just got lucky to win. We'd probably lose 6 out of 10 times vs them. A blind squirrel finds a nut every once in a while.
Tennessee lost to Austin Peay and Charleston. An Austin Peay team that was 1-9 at the time.

UTC is not a solid program. Good players that don't play well together.

Not saying the teams will not get better next season, but a close game vs. Tennessee and a W vs. UTC are not out of the question.

Its not out of the question at all. We had some pretty close games this year against some pretty good teams. Mercer and Ohio come to mind. I cant wait for next year. We'll be a fun team to watch. Lots of speed coming in to make up for the lack of size.
UTC is going to have a completely rebuild roster next year too...

With UTC winning in Kennesaw two years ago and KSU winning in Chattanooga last year, it should be a good comparison to see how the two programs are advancing from last year.

I read awhile back that UTC is transitioning from a lot of JUCO talent to the logical high school approach.

Yeah, UTC was great in the 80's and 90's thanks to taking 2 years of JUCO talent. I'm sure the fact that boosters were willing to make it worth their while to come to UTC helped too...

But with new NCAA academic restrictions, JUCO's are becoming a thing of the past... so the transition is going to be tough... but should pay off in the long run for UTC.
