There were more than a few times where Michigan shouldn't have lost contain on VY or prevented him from completing those 10-yd out routes to the TEs and Jeffery the WR.
I guess you just have to take it all in stride, though, and remember that getting to the Rose Bowl in the first place - esp with a pair of freshmen at QB and RB - is nothing to be ashamed of.
you are right....nothing to be ashamed of with the freshman QB and RB but you have to wonder about the coaching...State exposed um with a mobile QB, then OSU and now Texas....3 of their last 4 games????? Just doesn't seem like the proper adjustments were made.

I agree. Vince Young is good, but he is not that good. Michigan did not tackle, it is as simple as that.

Actually, we'll find out how effective Vince is next year when he'll be without Cedric Benson. There should be no question on how good Vince Young really is. We had to beat Miami out in a major recruiting war for his services. His athletic ability enables him to make plays no ordinary mortal can make.
Michigan had a very good game plan in the Rose Bowl and almost executed it to perfection. The Wolverines just fell short. That was one of the greatest games I've ever seen and it was a big thrill to be playing Michigan. I never thought the Longhorns would ever play the Wolverines in my lifetime. Why the hell we kept kicking it to Breaston is beyond me and it almost cost us the game.

I am not saying that Vince Young is not a good player, but comparing him to Michael Vick after one game against a suspect defense is absurd. Keep in mind, Texas was shut out by an Oklahoma defense that is getting blown out by USC at halftime. Calling this guy a Heisman candidate is a bit premature.
