Anyone familiar with 2014 RB Mikel Horton from Lakota East? I saw on another site where he came in 2nd at the Columbus Nike camp over the weekend just behind Cameron Burrows and ahead of Jalin Marshall. Somewhat pedestrian stats last season with 150 carries for 662 yards (4.4 ypc) and 9 TDs. Pretty big kid for a RB, though (6'1, 228 lbs.) and only a sophomore.

Kief, who is 6 feet 5 and 190 pounds, was second-team all-GCL South last season. He had 44 receptions for 612 yards and seven touchdowns for the Lancers, according to the GCL website.

Kief was offered by Illinois last week.

247 just came out with their early top 100 for the 2014 class and Kief is ranked as the #85 overall prospect and the #12 WR.

UC has offered Conner sophomore quarterback Drew Barker a short time ago this afternoon, according to Conner coach David Trosper. Barker, who is one of Kentucky’s top players in the 2014 class, was offered by Louisville earlier this spring.

Barker, who is 6 feet 4 and 215 pounds, threw for 1,009 yards and rushed for 1,371 yards last season.

I'd love for Cincinnati to get in at Cass Tech in Detroit. It's tough to make inroads there with Michigan and Michigan State to compete with but that'd be nice to get a pipeline going there.
