Here is the list of what each MAC team is doing today for signing day. It's interesting to see how some teams went all out (BGSU, Miami, Akron) but other teams are pretty toned down (UMass and Toledo). The only criticism I've got is for my own alma mater charging for its "web show". It's the only MAC team that's making fans pay for anything today.

KSU Signing Day

The above page is updated every few minutes with the changes. KSU has signed 20 as of 9:30 a.m. No defections in the last few days. Coach Hazell has been very aggressive in keeping up contact with all the prospects the last few days.

As they are signed, bio and highlight clips are being add to the bottom of the linked page.

Quote:Kent State's 2012 football season looks promising as National Letters of Intent roll off the football office fax machine.

FAX machines. 03-lmfao
That's how NLI's are still done Torch. They made a comment on ESPNU a bit ago, "schools all over the country had to get out and dust the fax machines today.....they will go back in storage later today."
Hasn't anyone ever heard of a scanner? I guess it doesn't have the same effect.

BTW, Temple is over 25 signees. More to come.
I figured you guys would have topped 50 by now... :)

I understand. It still should be ridiculed, just like the organization that presumably requires this (NCAA).

BTW, couldn't this be considered discrimination? It's got to be hard for some teenagers to locate a fax machine.
I'm sure the teenager is not using the fax machine. His high school coach or AD usually does the actual faxing. They normally fax them all in right after the signing ceremony at the school.

Maybe Torch is worried if the kid is truant today and tomorrow and Friday... He may lack access...
Someone got accepted with an email with a scanned copy attached since there was a power outage where they lived and the NCAA approved it. I imagine the problem is authenticating it if they let everyone do that.

It is a legal document and should be treated accordingly.

I assume a copy is counter signed, presumably by the AD, and returned to the player's parents or legal guardian.
Kent finishes its class @ 12:49 p.m. with 24 signed today, plus a JUCO QB who enrolled in January. All who were expected to sign did. No defections.
Akron completes its class with 21 signed recruits. On top of that we had 6 early enrollees, but some counted towards last year's class. Coach Bowden and his staff put together this class in just 20 days of recruiting.
BGSU has 20 signees....we're also giving schollies to Jeron Stokes (xfer Michigan), Brian schnie...er...Brian the punter, Andre Givens (walk on last fall who didn't play) and Jermale Hosley who signed an LOI last year but got hurt and deferred enrollment until January.

In terms of late adds/subtracts...We lost ILB Ronnie Goble to Navy and DE Mikhail Dubose to some fly by night school by Lake Michigan :) . We added DT Mike Minns (the young man has no neck) a LS and a kicker because our LS is a SR this year and our kickers seem to really suck.

Darryl Goldsmith, Detroit DT, didn't sign with the Flashes???
No word if the lack of a fax machine cost BG any recruits....
Toledo got all 27 that they hoped for, plus four preferred walk-ons.

Who had the best recruiting class?
From all accounts, those in the know said that Toldeo followed by Temple.
