I have been a fan of Scelfo since we first offered. I hope we land him, we have potential of having a great class of O lineman, add a couple of our other targets and could be the mainstay of our future. After the way the line played down the stretch this year, we need to upgrade and looks like we are close to doing that with this lass and our returning players.

Followed some of tweets from his visit to Charlotte this weekend. Says he had fun but nothing really indicating that they are moving to the top of his list. He visits La Tech next.
Was his visit to North Carolina or UNCC; Former SunBelt and CUSA member who is starting a football program.
It was UNCC. They go by Charlotte these days.

Just Charlotte? I can understand there reasoning to shed the Univ of North Carolina portion of the name. And that would leave Charlotte. However, the name change doesn't have University in it somewhere. Such as University of Charlotte, or, Charlotte University.
I'm being to technical. .....Charlotte is fine.
Officially they are the University of North Carolina - Charlotte. A few years ago they began branding their athletics as Charlotte. Expect to hear that a lot more as their football gets rolling.

I remember when they were a pretty solid basketball program. Seems like light years ago now.
They'll be FCS. They've tried to find an FCS conference that will let them be football only, but they've been rejected so far. They want to leave their other sports in the A10, grow their football, and then hopefully get an invite to an FBS conference and move up. The FCS conferences don't want to be their stepping stone.
And knowing the history of Charlotte, the FCS conference certainly would be used as that stepping stone. Maybe two, possibly three years at the most. I would think Charlotte would want to return to the glowing image of their past.
