A 45 page document was "leaked" today detailing the advantages of Missouri heading to the SEC. In this document there was a projection of how much each SEC would receive if the SEC renegotiated their contract with just TAMU and Mizzou added. The number? $29 MILLION PER TEAM.

That my friends is a really big bomb. Can their be any doubt VT, NC, NCS, FSU, and OU heard it? Big changes are coming.

Just one of many links to the "leak".

I hope UNC hears it.
This also substantiates the earlier rumor where the SEC would get $36 million per school if TAMU, Mizzou, VT and NCS were added.

From the ACC's standpoint that wouldn't be so bad as it would not take away any of the ACC's markets and it would allow them to add at least UConn and Rutgers and perhaps ND and another team as well.
So now the SEC gets to renegotiate.....the ACC is presently renegotiating....

Does that mean the B12 get to renegotiate? I doubt it.

You have to wonder what it would mean for the Big East teams.....if they survive to get to the NBC/ESPN/Fox negotiations.
Might be leaked on purpose... nudge Mizzou a little closer
Hmmmmmmmmmmm...

Taking away the ACC's best football program for the past couple seasons and allowing the SEC to penetrate North Carolina/Virginia isn't that bad? Maybe not for hoops, but for football it would be disastrous. It would also probably force the B1G to make a move to 16 which could spell even more trouble with teams like Maryland, Rutgers, GTech, UVA, and UNC on their radar. Would probably mean good news for Cincinnati though so I would welcome the seismic shift. 03-wink

It would also help the ACC's USNWR rankings but I doubt ND joins a conference that is losing teams.

B12 doesn't really need to renegotiate...their tier one is coming up soon. They've just signed a tier two deal. They'll be right up there in numbers.
Oh yeah, I forgot, that's 29-30 million per team for Tier 1 and 2 rights only. If an SEC network was added that could easily be another 7-10 million per school.

Alabama's campus would suggest the car of choice is the Dodge Charger for highly touted incoming freshman, *cough* Dre Kirkpatrick *cough*. 03-lmfao

The $EC is so dirty...
I have a hard time seeing just how they are going to deliver that amount of cash just with a TV deal and no network. I know ESPN, and every other media outlet bends over legs wide open for the SEC, but really 36million PER SCHOOL!!! If this happens how long will it take congress to implement some sort of task force in understanding just how these conference can make this kind of cash when the economy is at or near a all time low??? When will this madness stop for the game can only take so much IMO for it has to be getting close to it's breaking point don't you think??? If this happens there is no way what so ever other conference will be able to compete with the SEC. Yes they will lose some games here and there, but they will control every National Championship from here till the end of time with this kind of funding they are proposing. When does it stop???
SEC already controls all the National Championship games.
Each school would be making more than Notre Dame. Maybe this was leaked to try and get ND as the 14th. For whatever unknown reason we know the SEC hasn't voted Mizzou in and now this is leaked... its really fishy.

the only problem.. i think the rumour was that document was put together by Missouri officials for missouri officials "to be leaked intentionally".

Basically, if so, Missouri is repeating their b1g fiasco... begging to prove they're worth something through backdoors, rather than being upfront and honest saying, we're looking at what we think we would bring to your (SEC, B12, B1G) conference...

Every school in the SEC already makes more than Notre Dame. With the new contract every school will make more than Texas with their LHN.
