I've heard of girls playing on boys teams, but never the other way around. Doesn't seem fair since boys typically are bigger/faster/stronger.

Every few years soccer gets attention- it can be fun.
Every weekend for nearly 4 months college football gets attention. Always great.
The worst D1 men's team would beat the women's national team- but that whole men v. women's sports thing is a different back and forth. Nor does it change how compelling the women's world cup was.
Hell- I even watch swimming for a week every 4 years!

Exactly. Same applies for basketball. Maya Moore, Candace Parker, or any other elite womens basketball player would get simply dominated in Mens college basketball.
It's a pretty horrible argument, though. That's like saying it's useless to watch college football, because the NFL is more superior talent-wise.
As a mild soccer fan, I found the Women's World Cup to be very enjoyable.
Abby Wambach goes from being the biggest player on the field to being a slow, short, skinny forward that would never get close to a header.
