Martin O'Neill resigns with immediate effect. probably because his best players are about to be sold.

Maybe Spurs are getting Ashley Young now.
Looks like Bob Bradley is the bookie's choice for the next Villa manager.

Considering that the US MNT has not made a decision whether to keep him or not yet, I would be heading to Aston Villa immediately with the contract that they will offer him.
Villa still usually have a solid defense. The cupboard is not bare.
but the next manager is in a no win situation. MO'N got them as high as they can go under their current ownership. They've been top 6 for the last 3 years. They definitely won't do that when the sell off Milner and Young this month. Spurs, Man City, Everton,and Liverpool will all finish higher than the Villians.
