There's word floating around that Tony Stubblefield could be leaving UC to take an assistants job on Dana Altman's new Oregon staff.
God knows Oregon's got enough money to hire anyone they want.
How big a loss is this? Critics claim the assistants at UC don't do squat.
Or the continuation of the jumping off the sinking ship?

Lance first. Now stubblefield?
Been rumors since March that there might be changes this summer.
Not a loss at all. I dont think losing any coaches would be considered a loss. Just my opinion.

That doesnt sound like a planned change.
Wow, I hope this doesn't negatively affect recruiting!

First to abandon the sinking ship?

Yeah, then we might start finishing 7th or 8th with top recruits, instead of 5th or 6th.

It would be a shame if we couldn't reel in loads of Big East bench fodder anymore.
I have to admit - this is the second time I looked at this thread and I just realized it's about a basketball coach. How sad is that? Is that a reflection on me or the state of the program? I guess probably a little of both.

You aren't the only one. I debated even opening this thread because of the irrelevance that is now the basketball program.

thanks rath. rest assured, you never miss a
beat.
Please don't let anyone say this is another addition through subtraction.
Am I the only one that thinks if this is true may just be a coach looking to expand his resume?

And expand his wallet. He would definitely expand his recruiting base and, thanks to that Nike money, be able to bring some kids from the east to Oregon.

Yeah, that Nike money is tempting. Personally they would have to pay me that much to live in Oregon.

Wow. Have you been to Oregon? Breathtaking.
Lush, I agree, a lot to like about Oregon. If a little rain bothers you don't go...otherwise, go.
