I know what I'll be doing at 1:30! I'd like to watch the Netherlands play as well.
Her kommer Danmark
Vi knepper jeres kællinger
Her kommer Danmark
Vi gør det med manér

Gå Danmark!!!!

Denmark 2- The Douche 1
Denmark's keeper played a helluva a game. Too much in the end though.

I do love watching Holland (aka the Netherlands) play football. Fun team to watch. They'll choke in the quarterfinals probably, but they'll go down in style.
Why does Japan wear blue? You'd think red and white would make more sense.

Their nickname are the Blue Samurai. Maybe it has something to do with some old tradition in the samurai way of life. I really have no idea.
Pretty big upset IMO. Cameroon has a good bit of talent, and they flopped today.

I had a Japanese guy tell me it had something to do with Mt. Fuji. I don't understand it.
Why is the Italian national team called "Gli Azzurri?"?

Azzurri =The Blue.

The Italians wear blue because that is the color of the House of Savoy....the first rulers of a united Italy in the late 1800s.

Sorry I was asking a rhetorical question in answer to the question of Japan wearing blue. Although I did not know the whole story behind the House of Story....parlo l'italiano

Thanks for the help though, Tex.
Was happy to see the Flying Dutchmen get the 3 points, but it wasn't the most exciting match. The Oranje got a little pass happy and tried to control the possession too much, almost cost them a couple of times on Danish counter-attacks. Van Persie's not back to his full form, IMO. Elia looks like a future star for the Dutch too.

I'll be glad when Robben's back in the line-up.
I didn't think Japan was very good coming in so good win.
I think I'm gonna get a recording of the vuvuzela to help me sleep at night. This is the third time I've fallen asleep watching the World Cup, not because of the boring soccer, but because of the constant droning of the vuvuzelas. I'm the opposite of most people, I guess. They don't bother me, just put me to sleep.

Luckily it was still 0–0, so it's not like I missed much.
GOAL! 1–0 Paraguay! Suck it Italia.

My brother had the Celtics game on last night and I stopped and watched for a minute, then wondered why the crowd noise was so low. Any time there's a large event I expect to hear the drone of vuvuzelas from now on.

Great goal from Paraguay. Italy's going to crank up the flops in the second half.

Did I hear the announcer right? "Maybe Ronaldo will be the sexiest player in South Africa. Mm."
Damn. 1–1
And another GK error leads to a goal.
BOO! Oh well...
Thank you, De Rossi! Scrappin for 1 point...
