Glad I'm not the only one who noticed that. I'll be up too.

Well, Charlie Brown won. That Algerian keeper's hair pissed me off.
has espn gotten smart and given Lalas the boot?
With Slovenia's win, advancement probability in Group C is ENG 79%, USA 59%, SVN 57%, ALG 5%.

With a 1-0 win over Slovenia, USA would be 94% to advance. With a 1-0 loss, just 13% to advance. With a 1-1 draw, 56%.

This dude is so arrogant is just unbelievable. I was not not the only one to notice that the English former soccer player and Alex Lalas do not like each other at all, when they were both in the studio the first day of the World Cup tournament.

That Algerian player getting two yellow cards late in the game today will hurt that team a lot as well. The US toughest game is behind them already, so a win against Slovenia and Algeria seems feasible to me.

Yeah, he's cocky as hell. I appreciate his attitude when he's in the studio with people from other countries. He defends the U.S., but it can get annoying after a while.

ESPN loves attitude and ratings. I doubt he's been kicked from coverage. Probably just a day off.

you talking about Gullit? he knows what he's talking about- one word for AL would be unprofessional, imo- plus he wasn't really that good- was he?

Those two announcer was at a different location I noticed. Steve McMahan and Alex Lalas were at different places in Johannesburg, but maybe it was not because of wanting to get a feel at different locations.

They were together in studio a few days ago, but separated for the England v US game.
best line so far.. he goes down, must have been shot by a sniper.. lol
Ha, today has been the day of the red card so far. Let's see if Ghana can get a couple of chances here.

Gulit is indeed good compared to AL, but that is really easy when you are next to him. For me that is why it is for the most part hard to listen to ex-American player as a color commentator. The only way I saw a decent was John Harkes with Martin Tyler as the lead commentator on the match.
GOOOOAAAAAALLLL!!!!! Penalty converted by Ghana!
Serbia just folded under the pressure.
