BURLINGTON, Vt. -- Jawan Carter scored a game-high 26 points while Kelvin McNeil added season-highs of 13 points and 13 rebounds as the University of Delaware men's basketball team posted an impressive 56-50 victory at Vermont Sunday afternoon at Patrick Gym.

The Blue Hens, who improved to 3-7 on the season and won their fourth straight game in Burlington, also got five points from Alphonso Dawson and Josh Brinkley. Delaware went 13 of 17 from the free throw line and held a 46-35 rebounding advantage, the fifth straight game the Blue Hens won the battle of the boards.

Vermont, which fell to 7-5 on the season, had its five-game winning streak snapped. The Catamounts, who defeated Rutgers earlier this season, also saw their five-game home winning streak ended. Evan Fjeld led Vermont with 14 points, while Marqus Blakely narrowly missed a double-double with 11 points and nine rebounds.
