Back injury or family issues? If not, a very bad sign.

I'm guessing it's for a number of reasons, with future playing time being the number one issue...
SID wouldn't comment- guy sounded a little surprised, whetehr because the word was out or he hadn't heard that, I don't know. I think Albrecht is one of our best all-around players now- good knowledge of the game and does a lot of things well. Defense isn't ever going to be what it could be because he isn't lightening quick but I think he'll be a pretty good player.
Wow.

When life hands you lemons....
Well seeing that I am off work today, I think i'll be heading to the coaches show tonight.

The rumor is that a McDonald's All-American type power forward/shotblocker with excellent mid-range and postup skills who is a lockdown defender as well is headed UT's way. Of course I just started that rumor and it is totally baseless but, Hey, it could happen. I fear this does not bode well for UT.

Good Luck to Steve whatever he decides to do. wonder if he'll remain in school here? That seemed to be a priority for him. Maybe someday he can take care of this troublesome bridge I got.4][

That is a bummer. This type of news is getting old in a hurry.
Happens pretty regularly and for a lot of reasons- not just here. BG lost their best retuning player and other schools have as well. Could have been health related, a mutual decision between Croos and Albrecht that another school might better meet his needs-who knows? Definitely hurts our depth though and cuts our offensive options even more- it did seem like Albrecht really hit the wall a couple games back and I wonder if its just physical lackof strength, his back or what. He was not a real muscular, physical guy.
11.2 per, sounds like time to play wasn't an issue. If it's a personality conflict or playing philosophy reason, we'll never hear of it. If it's a health issue, also not good. If it's an academic reason, either grades or not happy with his program, we'll never hear of it. Not too many positives can come out of it. Leaving the team but not the school, that's about it.

Wishing the kid all the best and definitely all the good health.

Agree... The wheels are already falling off with this team as it is.

That was very abrupt statement. He's gone, see ya, good luck. To put it mildly, I'm very uncomfortable with the direction (or lack of direction) of our men's basketball program.

While he may have been the best player stat-wise or in potential, I would argue that he was the best returning player. Knight's problem is that he did not want to work at all but still remain a starter. He also violated team rules after the season and subsequently transferred. Orr does not play those games.
Albrecht had a nice stroke, but he seemed to run into people, trip over his own feet, and fall down a lot.
I hope somebody asks if he will now burn one of the Frosh redshirts.
