On his way (so he says) to Kentucky or Louisville. We'll NEVER win if our roster turns over every year.

There are many, many question marks for next year.
There's going to be some new bodies in here. It's a whole new ball game and we knew that. Unfortunate loss with Tanner.
Wow - very unfortunate loss. I know he came from the same HS as Zach Berry...I wonder if that played a part in it....
Nope. It was the opposite sex that pulled him back.
Its going to be a long year
Ugh. This one hurts. Oh well another free scholie...lets see what Ingle can do. May be a good time to hit up the JUCO route.

I think quite the opposite. Tanner was good, but that is a position that we should actually be quite deep at next year. Would have liked to see him for 4 years, but can understand if a kid wants to transfer for 'love'...as misguided as it might be, it is definitely his right. Hope the best for him.
There's a kid from Cartersville I think the KSU staff should go back to by the name of Chris Palmore. They recruited him hard and then I believe a guard committed to KSU. I don't know if an offer was ever on the table, but I'm telling you this kid is REALLY good. Unfortunately for him, he didn't start until his senior year which is why he was not as recognized.
I haven't heard about him techfan4, but my guess is that if he was recruited by Kennesaw he is still on their board somewhere...with the recent transfer you never know what can happen...maybe that opens up a spot for an extra player...If he can play, is a good student, and is a good kid - I hope we get him :)
I know we lost Tanner, but things are looking up we just got a verbal commitment from an SEC transfer.
Welcome to the site ksubbfan. If you know anyone else interested in anything KSU sport related send them this way..

Who is the SEC transfer that you speak of?
Matt Heramb 6'9 powerforward from Auburn. His brother played at KSU a few years ago. This is a big time pick up for KSU because he can play inside or out. Things are on the up and up.
I thought it was either him or Tubbs from Bama but wasn't sure on which. Thanks a lot for the info..awesome news if true.
Possible transfer

I believe he'll be a redshirt junior when eligible to play for us..
Well it's nice that Heramb wants to transfer, but the reality is he sucked at Auburn and Auburn sucked. He averaged 3 points and 1 rebound on a bad team. How much can he help us? My answer is not as much as Jacobs did. I don't care how much you play or don't play, if you are 6'9", you need to get more than 1 rebound a game.

Jacobs was a freshman and had plenty of heart. He played MUCH bigger than he was and was getting better. Heramb has size and that is about it. I watched this kid in high school at Chapel Hill and you didn't even know that he was on the floor. At Auburn, he would go to the basket every now and then and dunk, but he perferred to shoot threes and didn't make a whole lot of them.

Personally if someone can talk his high school teammate Brian Mills from Mercer to come home to Kennesaw I would love it. That would make me feel better about Jacobs' loss. Other than that, I wouldn't get too excited about Matt Heramb taking Kennesaw to the next level. Hopefully by the time he is elgible, the other bigs that are here can be developed enough for him to add to the mix.

That is NOT personal, just a fact.
Matt Heramb is a huge sign for Kennesaw. Don't underestimate his value. Kennesaw recruited him hard out of high school I believe, but when the SEC came calling he punched his ticket. He is a 6'10" skilled big man...you just don't find those at low-major programs.

Congratulations on your signee. Remember too, he averaged those numbers against SEC competition. He will be a huge asset to your program.

I Hear ya guys, loud and clear. If Heramb gets :ncaabbs: 18 rebounds in one game playing ASun competition, I'll be the first to eat my words.

He simply didn't play against SEC competition. In the few games that he played against lesser opponents he did well...he will be a big part of our program.
He is a little soft but he has a big upside. He can shoot the 3 and get to the hole. I believe Auburn is looking to be more athletic and run up and down the court. He also has been in an SEC program and has been hitting the weights. He won't dominat the ASun but he can become all conference.
