I have already pre ordered mine from EB Games. I can't wait until I get my hands on it. 04-bow
I am SERIOUSLY pumped about it, TRNB!! :D I had it pre-ordered but decided to cancel and just get it at the local Target (didn't want MORE on my credit card....it's heavy enough already!! :( ).

But I really can't wait. I wish our history was good enough so one of our historical teams could've made that list........I'd love to play with Big George as my runningback!! :) But it should be pretty cool.....I understand there's more chants and the crowd is louder. Also, they got our garnet road pants into this year's version.

What's the first thing you do when you get the game, NB? I usually name the USC and Clemson players first, then I start the long process of naming all of the teams (as many players as I can find in an Athlon mag).....skipping offensive lineman (since you never hear their names in a game anyway). In between, I practice with an exhibition game. Once done, I start my South Carolina dynasty!!
I have preordered but can it beat 03? 2003 ranks up there with some of the greatest inventions of man. The gillete mach 3 razor, the wheel and the computer :D
Well, as I understand it, this is basically the same game but with several improvements.......many are subtle, but the updated features justify getting it if you're a fan of college football!

To be honest Gal, the first thing I do is to play an exhibition game just to get a feel for it. I found a place where you get get the entire rosters for all teams put in for a small fee. I'm thinking about doing that this year. I guess won't ever have any classic USC teams in the game Gal. Like you said, our history hasn't been very good at all. :( I hope before I paas away I can live to see USC win a national championship in football. Basketball would be nice too.

I agree with you Gamecock Jay, NCAA 2003 will be hard to beat. The one thing I know will make this game great is online play. Does anyone have the network adaptor for the PS2? If you don't, grab one while you can. It brings the game to a new level by playing it online. Most of my friends are so henpecked, we never get the chance to get together and play. Now we will be able to in this year's game. 03-cool
Well, I have an X-Box and don't get into online play anyway.

Last year, though, I had the PS2 and I ordered the rosters on a memory card. But the thing took so long to get to my house, by the time I got it, I had named many of the teams myself!! That's OK......actually, naming the players is kinda fun in a weird way. You really get to know the personnel of all the Division 1-A teams. During the season last year, I'd hear a name and think "oh yeah.......I remember him from the game"....lol...

As to historical USC teams, no, we don't have a great history. But I wouldn't be surprised if one day this game doesn't have at least ONE historical team for every Div. 1-A school. Might have to wait on the next generation of game consoles, though. I'd love to see those Carlen unis recreated........I'd have to pick a George Rogers team........he did win the Heisman, after all....which, when you think about it, is probably our biggest accomplishment historically......
I bought NCAA 2003 for X-Box last year. I like X-Box the best because you don't need a memory card to save your season. The only reason I will buy NCAA 2004 for the PS2 is for the online play.
Wow! I didn't realize there were this many Citadel fans!!!
We are all closet Bulldog fans
I can't wait for it either.
I think my 2003 game is possessed by demons. I play on Heisman.......had won the national championship two years running. Then in my fifth year I decided to make the sliders a bit more challenging. Challenging is one thing, but cheating is something else again.

- lost to Georgia 39-38 after leading 38-14 in the 3rd quarter.
- lost to Mizzou 51-49......ridiculous score
- lost to Tennessee 38-24 after leading 14-0 in the first half.....and 24-17 with three minutes to go in the game!!! :bang:

At certain points in the game, the computer makes up his mind he's going to score and there's absolutely nothing you can do about it. You can't tackle him, you can't blitz him, you can't zone him. All you can do is sit there and lose!!

I hope they fix this "Robo QB/cheat" crap for this year's game. I don't mind losing.....as long as it's realistic.
Video Games will do that to you sometimes. :bang:
